After your procedure is approved, the office will schedule your appointment and provide instructions. You'll fast after midnight before the procedure. The surgery center will arrange transportation and explain the process. On arrival, you'll check in and be prepared in the preop area. The anesthesiologist and I will meet you before the procedure. Most procedures take 5-20 minutes, performed while you're sedated and lying on your stomach. Afterward, you'll recover in the postop area until discharge. Expect some soreness and mild discomfort for a few days. Take it easy the first day due to sedation effects. Follow-up is typically 2-4 weeks later.
